- 16" separation between floor joists and floor insulated for sound and fire retardant
- Home insulation: The whole home was insulated with the best product in the market and between the floors and the media room the insulation is fire and sound proof.
- Wall framed with 2 x 8’s instead of normal 2 x 4's and double insulated that yield average $100 monthly gas bill over past 12 months (Feb 2010 - Jan 2011)
- On turret and box window where exterior slate is used, 2 x 12’s are used to frame the structure
- Roof is made of 3/4" plywood, has ridge vents & soffits, and a 50-year warranty shingle
- Foundation basement walls are 12" thick concrete with additional membrane to avoid water penetration. Built well above code requirements
