Is the market turning around or will prices go lower?
That is the question on every buyer and seller's mind right now. To help answer this question is the following presentation that is a combination of three top economists presentations delivered at George Mason University in September and their views of real estate. All three concur on the following:
The US aggregate Real Estate market will take two years to correct
There are many markets in the US with price appreciation & each market has its own behaviour depending on its circumstances
The District of Columbia & North Arlington have already begun to have price appreciation, inventory is down versus last year
Northern Virginia (Arlington & Fairfax counties) have shown price improvement in July & August, albeit high inventory levels
Forecast shows that the Northern Virginia market should be on an upswing by either Spring or Summer of 2008
